The Antartic Continent

The Antarctic continent in the South Pole is warm during the last half-century as well as the other world. Results of a study on the new record in the Nature journal, the newest edition break opportunity in the area said that even freeze.

The study conducted by scientists with the U.S. that made a record combining satellite and weather in the area of the South Pole ice contains 90 percent of the world. The results show that freezing temperatures have increased by 0.5 degrees Celsius (0.8 Fahrenheit) since the 1950s.

Scientists have concluded that the Eastern South Pole, the greater and more cold than the western part, increasing warm 0.1 degrees Celsius per decade. Meanwhile, temperatures in the western part of the increased 0.17 degrees Celsius per decade, increasing faster than the global average.

"What you hear all the time is the Antarctic will be cold but not that happens," said study leader Eric Steig of the University of Washington. Previous research that shows that the temperature in most parts of the continent at the bottom of the earth remains the same as or a little more cold.

Over the years, South Pole to be the only place that looks as if immune from the odd changes climate. The cold temperature increases in some parts of Antarctica to become weapons for the researchers to give the argument that climate change be exaggerated.

However, the latest research results break suspicion is especially done comprehensively across the Antarctic. Scientists still believe that global warming is influenced Antarctica estimate cooling only be affected because the local wind to blow the cold polar regions.
