
Sumatra tiger is estimated there is only one in a 300 hectare area of habitat, so that animals are increasingly rare endangered.
"Threats can occur due to, among other rare animals that conflict with human-related hunting wild, or a rope noose trapped pigs, and the clearing of agricultural land and crops," said the Head of Central Natural Resources Conservation (BKSDA) Sumbar Indra in Arinal Padang, Saturday (January 17th 2009).
Indra said it, related with the evaluation throughout 2008, recorded that Sumatra tiger is dead and three people died .
According to him, the tiger fight against to human caused by more people used their habitat due to agricultural activities and oil palm and cocoa plantations.
Reducing of their habitat has triggered the occurrence of conflict among animals and people living around the forest area," he said.
